Miranda qualified as a veterinary nurse and went on to study animal behaviour, kennel management (Dip.Hons) and pet nutrition. She subsequently qualified as an NVQ vet nurse/animal care assessor and verifier and gained the Professional Certificate in Management in 2010.

Miranda has acquired much practical experience in her roles as staff nurse, theatre sister, private veterinary practice manager and animal rehoming centre manager and since 2007, as an independent animal welfare consultant.

 

 

Previous and current employers include the RSPCA, Blue Cross, PDSA and RSPCA International, Pet Advisory Committee, Farm Animal Welfare Forum, Poultry Welfare Forum plus a number of organisations whom Miranda assists on a voluntary basis.

Much of Mirandas work is carried out internationally providing training, workshops, seminars or consultative work in Europe, Asia, UAE and USA. In the UK, Miranda is dedicated to improving standards within rescue animal adoption using Rescue Review to gain and share valuable information.

Miranda is a registered nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, a member of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association.

Miranda has built up a network of qualified and trusted Associates who are experts in specific areas of animal welfare. They include veterinary surgeons and nurses, animal control specialists, kennel and cattery designers, behaviorists and more.
